We Ain’t Got No Podcast — Episode 39: The “New” Chelsea - the good, the bad, the ugly

Everybody’s favourite podcast!

Welcome to the thirty-ninth episode of We Ain’t Got No History’s We Ain’t Got No Podcast, hosted (usually) by your very own Jimmy Funnell and Ram Srinivas!

But for our newest episode, I was joined by fellow WAGNH writers Brian Yatco and Fellipe Miranda as Ram had to sit this one out (but will be back and up for it in the next one, no worries)!

The three of us tried to process an eventful week for Chelsea, making use of the theme “the good, the bad, the ugly” to analyze and discuss the newest developments. The managerial appointment was naturally a major talking point, but we also looked at the first games of the “new” era, tinkering formations, the impact on the players, possible new leases of life, and of course Frank Lampard’s departure. Combining positives and negatives, we also chat about what has become part of Chelsea’s identity — whether we like that or not.

So tune in to hear us ramble on about everything Chelsea Football Club!

Your host is Jimmy Funnell a.k.a. BromleyBlue (@JimmyFunnellCFC) joined by fellow WAGNH writers/contributors Fellipe Miranda (@fellmir) and Brian Yatco (@yatco).

Time stamps:

  1. 2:09 Thomas Tuchel appointment
  2. 10:47 Chelsea’s last two games
  3. 27:00 Players benefitting and getting a fresh chance
  4. 41:57 Alonso vs. Chilwell
  5. 59:08 Frank Lampard’s departure
