In case you were wondering how the Chelsea vs. Manchester City heavyweight clash went down on Sunday evening ... it didn’t. The marquee match-up of the young WSL 1 season was postponed due to poor weather in London and the rest of England.
The biggest snow in five years hit the capital on Sunday morning, causing widespread power and travel disruptions across the metropolitan area, with similar weather elsewhere in the country also impacting the weekend. The official announcement cited “inclement weather” for the reason, although the pitch itself didn’t look too terrible.

Here’s the announcement from the official website, which also contains information for receiving refunds for tickets already purchased.
Chelsea Ladies' home game against Manchester City due to take place this evening has been postponed due to inclement weather in the Kingston-upon-Thames area.
A new date for the top-of-the-table Women's Super League 1 match will be announced in due course.
Tickets purchased in advance will be valid for the new date and refunds will be available for those supporters who are no longer able to attend.
Of the five games scheduled in the WSL, only one, Everton’s 5-1 win over Sunderland was able to go ahead. Chelsea’s next league match wasn’t due to be played until a month from now, but it’s unclear for exactly when this top of the table clash will be rescheduled.
