Good luck!

Chelsea reserve goalkeeper Jamie Cumming has gone out loan once again, this time joining Oxford United in League One. The 24-year-old is set to take the reins from James Beadle, who had been on loan there from Brighton & Hove Albion before switching to Sheffield Wednesday earlier this week.

This is the third (or fourth, depending on how you count) successive loan to League One for Cumming, having spent half a season at Gillingham, half a season at MK Dons, and then a full season at MK Dons, during which he was named their Player of the Year. Prior to all that, he had also spent a season at fourth division Stevenage.

Unfortunately, he has yet to leverage those nearly 150 senior professional appearances into either a permanent move or a Chelsea first-team spot, but with his Chelsea contract set to expire in the summer — no extension was mentioned by the club in the announcement — he will likely have to secure himself a long-term future somewhere soon.

In any case, good luck, Jamie!
