Tammy Abraham is carefully contemplating his next move, but with the Romelu Lukaku saga about to reach its conclusion, he may have to start making a decision soon.

Serie A side Atalanta remain the frontrunners for the 23-year-old’s signature, and Gianluca Di Marzio now reports that they will hold talks with Chelsea in the next two days over a potential deal — which is said to be contingent on Atalanta letting Duván Zapata go to Inter to replace Lukaku in the first place.

Zapata is the consensus favorite to replace Lukaku — over the likes of Dušan Vlahović, Joaquin Correa, Luka Jović, and Andrea Belotti (or even Anthony Martial?) — and Alfredo Pedullà is reporting that personal terms have already been agreed, and Inter are likely to meet Atalanta’s €40m asking price, although they’re trying to bring the final fee down.

Meanwhile, Atalanta are also monitoring Belotti, whose contract expires in 2022 and is priced at €30m, but Abraham remains the favorite in a move that would suit all parties involved. That said, he’s said to actually prefer staying in the Premier League, though no one has been able cough up the funds Chelsea would require in return yet, with a loan arrangement categorically ruled out already.

Tammy risks another wasted season if a solution isn’t found soon.
