Callum Hudson-Odoi isn’t going anywhere in the final hours of the transfer window according to the latest reports, with Chelsea not changing our stance regarding his immediate future.
The 20-year-old was linked with Borussia Dortmund in the last couple days, and was possibly even open to a (loan) move, but that deal is “off the table” now since we won’t be sanctioning it anytime soon.

Even if Chelsea had been willing to deal (which certainly didn’t look all that likely), any departure was said to be dependent on incoming signings before tonight’s 11pm (BST) deadline, and nothing looks to be coming through in that regard either. Both the Saúl Ñíguez and Jules Koundé pursuits are essentially over at this point, which should give our own youngsters a chance instead — an always welcome development.
Hudson-Odoi has a bit of a fight on his hands for minutes at Chelsea, be that at wing-back or further forward on the wings (his preference), but he’s certainly got the talent to win that fight.
