Jules Koundé appears more likely to stay at Sevilla for another season than to come to Chelsea, after the La Liga side increased their asking price by a considerable amount over the last few days.
In the latest blow, as per L’Equipe, Sevilla have rejected a bid of €55m, and continue to hold out for €70m, just €10m less than his release clause. The Guardian earlier reported that Chelsea have still not completely abandoned this pursuit, but it remains to be seen if we continue after this latest setback.

Chelsea had a complicated and tense day for Jules Koundé negotiations with Sevilla. Deal on the verge of collapsing many times but... today Chelsea will try again with final approach. Sevilla are so strong on their position. #CFC #DeadlineDay

Saúl deal now completely blocked.
The 22-year-old centre back, who’s currently joined up with the France national team, is supposedly upset and angry at how Sevilla have handled the situation, and he feels that the club have broken a promise to him. From Sevilla’s perspective however, they apparently feel that €50m is not a good business decision and will not be pressured into selling him. As Estadio Deportivo note, Sevilla’s stance is also driven by the late timing of the situation and having to overpay for any potential replacements.
Still, a final resolution to the situation is only expected tomorrow afternoon, as per ABC Deportes.
So, with all the odds against us, will we able to pull this off?
Not that I know of, he's more important to #CFC than Saul.
