Callum Hudson-Odoi’s future is once again in a bit of a limbo, after a rather calm summer in that regard for a change, and while it’s not looking too likely that he would suddenly leave the club in the final hours of the transfer window, it’s hard to definitively rule out anything in football.
Borussia Dortmund have been pushing for a potential loan, but they may not be the only ones keeping an eye on things. A report earlier today from Sky Sports mentioned an unnamed Premier League team making an enquiry, and a new report from Football.London puts a name to them as well: Leicester City.
Presumably, we turned them away with a resounding no, especially as they apparently wanted a transfer rather than just a loan — though it’s unclear just how serious they might have been to being with, considering that they’re actively working on an Ademola Lookman deal with RB Leipzig already.
The narrative around this situation makes it quite clear that Chelsea are not looking to let Hudson-Odoi leave, especially with no reinforcements set to arrive at the moment.
