Callum Hudson-Odoi needs as many minutes as possible to fulfil his promise, but if the first three games of the Premier League season are any indication (and they may not be since it’s just three games), he has a big fight on his hands at Chelsea this season in that regard.

A solution could be a loan move, which has been softly whispered for a while, but has become louder in the last couple days. And now Sky Deutschland are claiming that Hudson-Odoi has agreed personal terms for a temporary move to Borussia Dortmund.

However, as expected based on Thomas Tuchel’s recent words, Chelsea are not too keen on the idea. According to the same story, the Blues are refusing to let Callum go — though we remain in talks with his representatives, as per Sky Sports.

Given the reports that Tuchel would have the final say in this situation, and having already made it clear that he needs quality backups in the squad if we are to compete on all fronts, our refusal is not at all surprising.

Where the reports take a hit in credibility is in claiming that Chelsea would change our stance depending on the Saúl Ñíguez situation, but that seems an entirely unrelated pursuit, just like their positions on the pitch. (It’s also not going too well, if at all, so...)
