Tiémoué Bakayoko flew down to Italy this weekend and has reportedly completed his medical with AC Milan on Sunday morning, which means that his two-year loan back to the Rossoneri is almost finalized.
In fact, Milan head coach Stefano Pioli confirmed as much after their 4-1 win over Cagliari yesterday (in which Olivier Giroud scored a brace!).
“Tiémoué Bakayoko will sign as new Milan player in the next hours from Chelsea.”

The somewhat complicated arrangement will see the 27-year-old midfielder re-join Milan on a two-year loan, with a €15m buy-option that could turn into a buy-obligation is certain conditions are met. Some reports have claimed that to be €20m instead, while the latest as far as the loan fee goes is €1m up front plus another €1m for Champions League qualification. Every bit counts, especially if Milan are paying Bakayoko’s full wages.
Presumably we’ll be getting an official announcement shortly.
