Borussia Dortmund ‘very interested’ in Callum Hudson-Odoi — reports

Overtly so

Callum Hudson-Odoi seems perfectly fine in his current Chelsea situation, and other than a few stray rumors, there’s not been anywhere near the amount of speculation about his future this summer than in prior transfer windows.

While the idea of a loan has never completely gone away, with a low level hum of Chelsea being potentially open to one getting a mention every now and then, Callum himself has not been pushing to leave, and seems more than willing to fight for his place and rise to the challenge laid out by the head coach.

However, the 20-year-old winger has yet to play a single minute in any of our three Premier League games, and apparently his start in the Super Cup did not live up to expectations. Could there be room therefore for something to happen in the last few days of the window? Borussia Dortmund might be hoping so!

As Sky Deutschland and Goal, BVB are “very interested” in a potential loan, and are hoping to convince both the player and Chelsea, that this would be a good idea for all involved. There’s no offer yet, but they are “preparing” one, which is always a good word to use in a transfer rumor since it doesn’t really commit to any possible outcome or truth.

The reports also agree that Chelsea aren’t too keen at the moment, and Tuchel already denied any loan rumors on Friday. As the head coach also mentioned, we will need a big squad with plenty of talent to compete on all fronts this season, and there’s should be plenty of minutes for everyone to go around.

But I suppose you never really know in football.
