After a month of dithering, Chelsea appear to be moving forward at last with Jules Koundé at Sevilla, with a “final official bid” incoming tonight, as per Fabrizio Romano.
Said final bid is presumably the same thing that Gianluca Di Marzio claims has been agreed between the two teams — amid claims that the entire deal itself is now “almost done” as well — namely €50m plus some amount of bonuses. That certainly sounds like a decent job done in negotiations, given Sevilla’s previously reported asking price in the region of €60-70m and Koundé’s €80-90 release clause.

If indeed true, this final bid and agreement would surely indicate that the hiccup seen earlier today in the Kurt Zouma business with West Ham has not completely derailed that deal, which was seen as the prerequisite for Koundé’s signing.
With six days to go in the transfer window, there’s little time to waste to get this all figured out for good finally.

Still waiting for Zouma agents-West Ham issues to be resolved to sign Koundé.
Chelsea are still negotiating also with Atletico for Saúl on loan.
