Despite the early optimism over Kurt Zouma’s planned transfer to West Ham United, it appears that the deal may now be off. Why? Who knows. “Something has gone very wrong” in the negotiations.
According to TF1’s Julian Maynard, who first had claimed that the transfer would be concluded by today, Chelsea have decided to pull the plug on the deal due to a disagreement over some point of the contract. We had apparently gone as far as to have a medical scheduled, before calling it all off. It’s specified that the disagreement was between Chelsea and West Ham rather than Zouma and West Ham.
Either way, there are some evil agent shenanigans going on here.
Medical was scheduled, but something between Chelsea & West Ham, rather than West Ham & Kurt Zouma, has resulted in the deal being called off. (TF1)

A few minutes after all that news broke, some reports rowed back a bit, including both the Guardian (Jacob Steinberg) and the Telegraph (Jason Burt) saying that there is still a chance this happens, so perhaps Chelsea aren’t ready to completely write this possibility off yet, regardless of what sort of nonsense may be going on. We have a Koundé to sign, after all!
Should have waited before tweeting... just as I sent that was told deal could be back ON after all! Stand down.. https://t.co/LhQMPoP4lH

Zouma is ready to go to West Ham, who are working to make sure the deal doesn’t fall apart #whufc #cfc

Talks continuing… but deal is “problematic and complicated”. Personal terms and structure big issues. All parties remain hopeful but West Ham keeping central defensive options open. #WHUFC #CFC #Zouma
