AC Milan are getting “ever closer to the finish line” with Tiémoué Bakayoko, says the nightly report from Alfredo Pedullà, after a round of productive meetings held yesterday with the various representatives involved in this deal. Sky Italia (via Sempre Milan) go even further by claiming that it “will go through”.
While this loan has been looking increasingly likely, the two teams were reportedly still some ways apart on the amount of the buy-option that would be included. Milan wanted €10m, Chelsea wanted €20m, and according to Alfredo Pedullà, we’ve agreed somewhere in the middle, perhaps a bit closer to the former’s demands. The Oracle of Hot Days claims that the option will be “under €15m” while the loan fee will be in the region of €1-1.5m. Not great, but at least something. We don’t have much leverage in the matter at the end of the day.
The 27-year-old midfielder is said to be just “one step away” now from completing his return to the team where he was already on loan once two years ago. Hopefully this time he will actually convince them to exercise their option at the end of the season.
Peppe di Stefano:”Finita la riunione a Casa Milan con gli agenti di Bakayoko, se ne sono appena andati, l’affare andrà in porto da quello che ci viene raccontato”
