Chelsea and West Ham United had reportedly found a verbal agreement over the terms of a potential Kurt Zouma transfer yesterday, and now, according to TF1, an agreement has been reached over personal terms as well.

Zouma has agreed to join the Hammers on a five-year deal, and is set for a medical perhaps as soon as tomorrow. While some reports are a bit less confident, most agree that this transfer looks quite imminent now, with some reports claiming that a deal could be wrapped up by Wednesday.

The fee as per the verbal agreement should be in the region of €30m (£25m), although Foot Mercato note that €4m of that is actually tied to add-ons and bonuses.

Tottenham Hotspur were also interested in Zouma’s signature, but they have dropped out, partly due to their inability to offload Davinson Sánchez, but mostly because it would be ludicrous on our part to do business with them.

After Zouma’s departure is finalized, Chelsea are expected to submit an official bid for Jules Kounde. A move for the 22-year-old apparently remains a priority thanks to Antonio Rüdiger’s uncertain future at the club beyond this season, with Real Madrid, PSG, Barcelona and Bayern Münich all said to be interested in his services.
