Tammy Abraham is supposed to make a decision by the end of this week regarding the transfer offer proposed by AS Roma, but after a day of talks with their director of football, Tiago Pinto, he appears no closer to one. That’s the latest situation report as per various Italian media (via Football Italia), with another day of talks scheduled for today (Friday) but seemingly less and less hope of Roma being able to convince Abraham.
Roma have reportedly raised the wages on offer along with a promise that José Mourinho would build the attack around him, but Abraham is said to be hesitant about leaving England and is still hoping that Arsenal make a move. (Meanwhile we are hoping to not have to sell to a rival.)
But Tammy’s hope may not be in vain, as Alfredo Pedullà claims that AS Roma would consider going after Alexandre Lacazette instead, with the Gunners apparently ready to propose their man to Roma, thus freeing up space and cash to make their move for Tammy.
The transfer dominoes have been set in motion already, with Romelu Lukaku leaving Inter and Edin Džeko arriving in his stead from Rome. Question is, will Tammy Abraham be the one missing piece to complete the circle, or will Lacazette step in as well? The Serie A season begins in nine days.
