Achraf Hakimi is on his way from Inter Milan to PSG — not yet official, but just a matter of time — which means that Inter will need to find a replacement right back.
Their preferred targets are reportedly PSV’s Denzel Dumfries, Lazio’s Manuel Lazzari, or Arsenal’s Héctor Bellerín, but they may not be able to afford any of the three — especially Dumfries, who had himself a star turn at Euro 2020 despite Netherlands’ elimination in the Round of 16.
And that may be good news for one Davide Zappacosta, who’s being seen as a cheaper option for Inter. The 29-year-old is a proven performer in the Serie A, including last year on loan at Genoa, and with just a year left on his contract, Chelsea presumably won’t be putting up too many road blocks in any potential negotiations.
Gazzetta dello Sport (via Sempre Inter) claim that Inter’s budget for the position is €10m. Chelsea should be biting their hand off to get that much for Zappacosta.
