Abdul Rahman Baba may have enjoyed a fruitful half-season loan stint with PAOK Thessaloniki, but the Greek giants decided against signing him permanently due to the financials involved. So the Ghana international is back training with Chelsea at the moment, but he’s said to be on the lookout for a move to a top European league — and such an opportunity just may have presented itself.
According to kicker and Ghana SoccerNet, Baba’s former club, Augsburg are interested in pursuing a loan deal. Their current left backs, Iago and Mads Pedersen are both injured, and they want Baba to fill in. Greek side Olympiacos Piraeus are also said to be interested, but the 27-year-old seemingly would prefer a move to the Bundesliga.

Meanwhile, Davide Zappacosta, who is also training at Cobham at the moment, is still waiting for a call from Inter Milan, who are looking for a replacement for Achraf Hakimi.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport (via Sempre Inter), Héctor Bellerín is their primary target, but a deal for the Arsenal fashion icon has hit a deadlock after the Gunners refused a loan deal (with only a buy-option). The Nerazzurri also have other targets like Nahitan Nández of Cagliari and Denzel Dumfries of PSV Eindhoven, but they may have to settle for Zappacosta, who would be a more affordable option.
