The hills were alive with the sound of a supposed Chelsea bid for Erling Braut Haaland and associated rejection from Borussia Dortmund this morning, but as it turns out, Sky (England) just took a report from Sky (Germany) and added a bit of flavor that wasn’t actually there.
Sky (Germany) reporter Max Behrenbeck clarified the story on Twitter, saying that there have only been “informal talks” (i.e. nothing) and that Dortmund didn’t reject anything (because nothing was there), and that this is still not happening (more nothing!). Recent rumors of Chelsea floating the idea of Tammy Abraham in part-exchange are similarly not a thing, mainly because, again, Dortmund are not selling.
To clarify: our Story was: there was no official bid/offer for a swap Deal Haaland/Abraham plus Money. Only informal Talks. > Dortmund did not reject anything officially. But still: haaland has to Stay at Dortmund. Abraham no Option for Dortmund atm.

All of which leaves us exactly where we were before, and where we are likely to be a day, a week, a month from now.
Told no official bid from @ChelseaFC re Erling Haaland but even if they did, would be wasting their time as BVB have no interest in selling.

This is where the rumor-mongers come in with an “unless” — gotta have all bases covered, lest you be wrong and destroy the brand, plus this way the story lives on for a bit longer. Yayyyyyy...
Borussia Dortmund have not received any official bid yet for Haaland. BVB know about Chelsea interest, their position is clear: if a “crazy” bid won’t arrive, he’ll stay. #BVB

If Haaland stays, the race will be open to many clubs next summer - €75m release clause. #CFC
