Jules Koundé not interested in Spurs, is unlikely to leave Sevilla — reports

No Koundé for anyone

Highly rated Jules Koundé has been linked with most of the Premier League’s top sides this summer already, and a few days ago, he was also linked with Tottenham Hotspur, which apparently, and amusingly, has not piqued his interested in the least bit. Not that it matters because so far, none of those teams have been enticed into meeting Sevilla’s €65-70m asking price, nor are they expected to in the near future.

And even if they did, Koundé appears to have his heart set on Real Madrid anyway. Unfortunately for the 22-year-old, Real have their heart monies set on different objectives — apparently they’re big fans of that one Hanson song, Mbappé or some such? — and thus also will not be making a high-priced move for a center back (despite losing Sergio Ramos and possibly Raphaël Varane as well).

And so, Cadena SER report that there is a strong chance of Koundé staying with Sevilla, and that outcome could also come with a shiny new contract. Imagine that! A player involved in transfer rumors ends up signing a better contract with his current team! You’re welcome, Jules.
