Chelsea were previously reported to be interested in signing Inter Milan’s Achraf Hakimi, and according to Gianluca Di Marzio as well as Sky Sport Italia, the Blues could be set to battle PSG and Bayern Munich for his signature.

PSG are seemingly the frontrunners in this race as per RMC Sport and Corriere dello Sport. The Ligue 1 side are on the lookout for a right back, with Alessandro Florenzi set to imminently return to AS Roma, and the Morocco international is the priority target for the Parisians. PSG want to take advantage of Inter Milan’s financial troubles to strike up a deal, and have apparently even contacted Hakimi’s entourage. According to Gazzetta dello Sport, the French club are willing to offer between €50-€60m for Hakimi’s services.

However, Inter Milan’s valuation of the 22-year-old is said to be much greater than €60m, and the Nerazzurri will seemingly only accept a “mind-boggling” offer. While that exact figure is not known, it is rumored to be upwards of €70m. It’s worth noting that Real Madrid have a right of first refusal for Hakimi, and they can match any offer that comes in for the youngster.

While Hakimi is not an absolute priority for Chelsea, it would be interesting to note the impact it might have on a potential Romelu Lukaku transfer, with the funds from Hakimi’s sale likely to cover the majority, if not all of Inter’s €80m-€90m deficit.
