Chelsea reportedly extended Marc Guehi’s contract by an additional year, to 2023, but his future is still as uncertain as ever. Guehi, who will turn 21 this summer, is understandably wary of being part of the Loan Army year-in and year-out, and would prefer to find some stability — and Chelsea apparently might be willing to do business around £15-20m, even, should push come to shove.
Despite a lack of clarity over his situation, Guehi should have no shortage of suitors after a most excellent season with Swansea City in the Championship. Crystal Palace are among those rumored recently, with the Athletic claiming that he’s “under serious consideration”, alongside fellow Chelsea loanne Conor Gallagher, who’s had a very good season personally at relegated West Brom.
Obviously, Palace wouldn’t be able to loan both players at the same time due to regulations, but should they hire Frank Lampard as their new manager to replace the outgoing Roy Hodgson, the likelihood of doing business with Chelsea will only increase, be it loans or transfers.

Several in contention, but they will want the new boss to balance experience with younger talent as the squad transition begins.
