Tammy Abraham’s list of suitors appears to be growing each passing day, with Newcastle United the latest club interested, as per ESPN.
The report notes that the 23-year-old’s looking to get his career back on track, and while he will still have two years left on his contract, since he’s unwilling to sign a new one, Chelsea are likely to maximize his transfer value by letting him go now. However, his suitors apparently believe that they can sign him for less than our £40m asking price, which does seem unlikely considering that he is one of the best young homegrown strikers in the league. If Dominic Calvert-Lewin is reportedly valued at £80m, Tammy’s asking price is rather cheap.
Chelsea will also need the funds to sign a replacement of our own, with Erling Braut Haaland priced at €150m and Romelu Lukaku at €120m. The Daily Mail have reiterated that latter number, adding that while Inter do not wish to lose their primary striker, they might change their stance should someone come up with an exorbitant offer that will help quell their financial troubles.
Chelsea are said to be particularly enticed by the prospect of signing Lukaku since he is familiar with not just Premier League football, but the club as well. The 27-year-old’s current contract runs until 2024, and he reportedly earns £14m per year.

Meanwhile, over in Haaland-land, Barcelona appear to have mended their relationship with Lionel Messi, who’s willing to stay (despite an offer from PSG), but wants the club to be ambitious in the transfer market — and he’s even willing to take a paycut to help enable that, as per Eurosport. Club president, Joan Laporta’s good relationship with Mino Raiola could be a big help in bringing Haaland to Camp Nou, though Barca’s first-choice attacking target is said to be the prodigal son himself, Neymar.
