Erling Haaland

Real Madrid are unsurprisingly interested in Erling Braut Haaland, but as reported earlier, they’re focusing on Kylian Mbappé at the moment, whose contract with PSG is up in 2022. As such, Diario AS are reporting that Real are unlikely to move for Haaland in the same transfer window. Unfortunately for the Super-Duper Leaguers, Haaland wouldn’t even contemplate not playing in the Champions League next season.

With Borussia Dortmund still four points behind in the Bundesliga top-four race with five games to go, Haaland’s departure looks a very real possibility, even if he had initially only planned to leave in 2022 when his release clause became active. It is in Real’s best interests for Haaland to stay for another year at the Signal Iduna Park, but the underlying circumstances mean that Chelsea, Manchester United and Manchester City are ahead in the race at the moment.

Sergio Agüero

Sergio Agüero was reportedly unwilling to take a pay cut at his next destination, but he has now had a change of heart, if TyC Sports are to be believed. According to them, Agüero is close to securing a move to Barcelona after intense negotiations in recent days. The Blaugrana are searching for more firepower up top, and they realized that signing a player of Agüero’s caliber, especially on a free, was an opportunity that they couldn’t pass up.

A two-year contract has been tabled, with a decision expected in the coming days. Catalan outlet betevé are claiming that an agreement is imminent, and that Agüero will sign as a Barcelona player soon (although Mundo Deportivo note that a deal is not close to completion yet).

Juventus’ interest is also mentioned, and while the Old Lady were offering him better wages, the 32-year-old is apparently adamant on moving to Spain. As expected, Lionel Messi appears to have swayed the decision, with Agüero keen on playing with his compatriot and close friend.

Andrea Belotti

Belotti is expected to depart Torino this summer, with Chelsea one of the many clubs interested in signing him. A report from Corriere dello Sport (via Sport Witness) further reinforces the Blues’ interest, and we are apparently one of the favorites, alongside AC Milan and AS Roma. Torino president, Urbano Cairo values the centre forward at €40m, but realizes that the aforementioned price may be too steep for a player in the final year of his contract, especially in the current economic climate.

Ousmane Dembélé

It’s been reported that Barcelona intend to give Ousmane Dembélé a new contract to extend his stay at Camp Nou beyond 2022, but Diario Sport claim that those talks have stalled for the moment. Despite both Joan Laporta and Ronald Koeman being proponents of the mercurial winger, discussions have not progressed, which has made the situation a little complicated.

It would appear that Dembélé’s representatives are stalling until the summer to gauge the interest of other clubs. The 23-year-old is happy at Barca, but knows that he can probably earn more elsewhere. From Barcelona’s perspective, they want an answer by the end of the season, so that they can plan the future course of action.

Will Chelsea get the opportunity to bring Dembélé to Stamford Bridge? Only time will tell.
