Erling Haaland and his family are reportedly long-term planners who will think strategically about the 20-year-old’s next move, with the ultimate goal of cementing his status as an all-time great. To that effect, ESPN explore the various options expected to be on the table for the striker this summer, and claim that he’s not seeking a move that will get him the biggest paycheck, but rather a club that would provide him with a challenge and the opportunity to win silverware.
Chelsea will likely be in the mix, that will also include the likes of Manchester United, Juventus, Real Madrid, and so on, but apparently the constant changing of managers could be held against us. ESPN claim that Manchester City are actually emerging as the “perfect package” with the perfect combination of manager, wages, and ambitions. Though Haaland apparently doesn’t want to just play for one club and in one major league, which City might not be too keen on — nor would any elite club, one would expect.
What, and where, next for Erling Haaland? He can go wherever he wants, but it won't simply be a case of taking the most lucrative deal on the table... https://t.co/eQl7GNDIyY

Manchester City are apparently looking for a long-term replacement for Sergio Agüero, and while their primary target is said to be Kylian Mbappé, he might be financially out of reach for even the Premier League leaders, as per the Athletic. Mbappé reportedly wants a salary of £600,000-a-week while PSG are demanding a transfer fee of €200m despite Mbappe’s contract expiring as soon as 2022.
As far as Chelsea are concerned, we seem to have work to do in terms of convincing Haaland. Qualifying for next season’s Champions League should be a step in the right direction, as would winning a trophy of two this season...
Looked into Haaland’s frankly absurd numbers with @Worville for this piece. They’re unprecedented https://t.co/nMIdMyV1C9 pic.twitter.com/VqUjKhik8K
