With Manchester United no longer in the running to sign Moises Caicedo, it might initially appear that Chelsea’s potential path towards the 19-year-old’s signature has became smoother. However, according to the latest reports out of Ecuador, another Premier League club have taken the lead.
Extra claim that Carlo Ancelotti’s Everton have come into the conversation for the talented midfielder, who has been hyped as “a combination of Paul Pogba and N’Golo Kanté”. Everton’s interest in signing a midfielder has been widely reported in recent weeks, with Sami Khedira one of the primary targets, but signing Caicedo over the 33-year-old would be a much smarter decision, even with the absence of a transfer fee in the latter’s case.
There’s also talk of an unnamed club from MLS (Atlanta United?) interested in the young Ecuador international’s services. And the report also reinforces the rebuttal of Manchester United’s links with the player, claiming that they were nothing but made-up conjectures. (Ed.note: so like 95.8% of all transfer rumors.)
If Chelsea want to sign Caicedo, we need to act soon, lest more teams catch a sniff of the extremely low €4.5m asking price and join the party as well.
La supuesta transferencia del ecuatoriano Moisés Caicedo al Manchester United fue 'puro cuento'; sin embargo este jueves 7 de enero se podría concretar su venta al extranjero. https://t.co/KoAY7lKnuv
