According to reports from Gianluca Di Marzio and Tuttosport, Juventus are still pursuing Olivier Giroud, as they continue to follow on from Andrea Pirlo expressing interest in the veteran striker.
Giroud’s just one possibility for the Old Lady, who are also monitoring Sassuolo’s Gianluca Scamacca. Giroud is said to be open to a move to Turin despite his recent comments confirming his desire to stay at Chelsea until at least the end of the season. Chelsea have apparently set a €5m asking price the player we’ve deemed not for sale.
That stance is reinforced by a recent report from ESPN, who also remind that Giroud can technically start negotiating with other teams since he’s into the final six months of his contract (which Chelsea may or may not offer to extend).
Giroud’s importance to the Blues is surely worth way more than a measly €5m, and if Juventus aren’t willing to pay even that, there is surely zero percent chance of this transfer going through.
