For all intents and purposes, Chelsea look pretty much finished in the transfer market for this year. Other than offloading a few players, either on loan or more permanently, the Blues have certainly done more than our fair share to prop up the flagging football economy, spending over £200m on half a starting XI’s worth of new first-team stars, including Kai Havertz, Timo Werner, Hakim Ziyech, Ben Chilwell, Édouard Mendy, and Thiago Silva on a free transfer as well.
But that just won’t do for the final week of the 2020 summer transfer window, so we have several reports today of Chelsea “preparing” or “considering” a bid for long-rumored target Declan Rice. The former Chelsea trainee has come on in leaps and bounds over the past year, and is seen by many as the perfect missing piece for our defensively weak and lost midfield.
Chelsea are still considering Declan Rice as their main target - #CFC are now working to sell players then will try again to sign him.

West Ham insist they won’t sell Rice on next days and “he’s gonna stay”. Not easy deal - but still on. #Chelsea #WHUFC #transfers
West Ham continue to maintain that Rice isn’t for sale, that he’s “very happy”, and that he’s not pushing to leave. He’s been made captain for the last two games as well, including this weekend’s impressive 4-0 win over Wolves.
