Jorginho started Chelsea’s first two games of the season — the second of which was his 100th appearance for the club — but has not featured in the last two, which gives the rumor mill a fresh opportunity to spin a few Jorginho stories. The 28-year-old midfielder was heavily linked with Juventus before they sacked Maurizio Sarri, while more recently there were some random rumors about Arsenal being interested.
Today, it’s PSG’s turn, who are reportedly “hoping” to tempt him to join their team on loan for the season. The French champions are apparently in a bit of dire straits when it comes to their finances, thus their propensity for loan rumors these days, which have included Tiémoué Bakayoko and Antonio Rüdiger as well.
Can we just send them all to PSG?
But while those two are quite clearly surplus to requirements at Chelsea at this point, Jorginho’s surely not going anywhere anytime soon. The Vice-captain seems to enjoy Lampard’s trust (despite the back-to-back bench assignments) and has three years left on his contract. Maybe if some team gave us fair value, and we could then turn that value into Declan Rice?
