Chelsea have officially announced the signing of young striker Aleksi Heino from Inter Turku in Finland on a two-year scholarship, subject to international clearance.
After a successful trial spell in August, Chelsea have completed the signing of 16 year-old Finnish striker Aleksi Heino, who joins a growing stable of talented young strikers.https://t.co/4MQnBuIyud pic.twitter.com/sTvb6NvSf4

The 16-year-old youngster, who recently spent a week and a half trialing at Chelsea and a week at Wolfsburg as well, has clearly impressed enough to be snapped up by the Blues. While Heino is too young to play for a senior team, he has trained with Inter Turku’s reserve team, and has also represented Finland at the U15 level. He plays primarily as a striker, and will be one of the many left-footed players in the current academy ranks.
Heino is the fifth promising talent Chelsea have signed from the Nordic region in recent years, joining Jimi Tauriainen, Lucas Bergström (both Finland), Bryan Fiabema (Norway) and Edwin Andersson (Sweden).
Good luck to Aleksi, and may his upcoming journey at Chelsea be a fruitful one!
