Antonio Conte’s Inter Milan have been linked with N’Golo Kanté more than once by Italian media in recent weeks, but just like when Kanté was linked with Real Madrid, those stories have proven to be little more than idle speculation.
Inter have never opened any talk to sign N’Golo Kanté, sport director Piero Ausilio confirms: “We’ve never started anything to sign Kanté from Chelsea. No chance. He’s not a target”. #CFC #Inter #transfers

Inter Milan sporting director Piero Ausilio may be working hard to appease Conte and reinforce the squad, but making Kanté (or Lionel Messi or Federico Chiesa) part of that effort is practically impossible.
“Inter absolutely cannot afford moves like [Messi or Chiesa], as the economic parameters are beyond our reach. [We must] be realistic on the possibilities that our transfer strategy allows us. It’s important to be honest with the fans, too.
“Kanté is also an impossible move for Inter.”

While Chelsea may have been able to, more or less, shrug off the financial effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, that hasn’t been the case for most other teams. Not that it matters, because Kanté’s ours and they can’t have him anyway. The end.
