Head coach Peter Bosz wasn’t exactly in a great mood after his Bayer Leverkusen team lost in the Europa League quarterfinals to Inter Milan last night, so when he was asked the inevitable question in the post-match press conference, he was never going to be forthcoming with a useful answer.
The obvious question was of course about the future of Kai Havertz. Bosz’s answer? A shocking transfer exclusive delivered with perfect deadpan. Or was that just boredom? Bitterness? Does Bosz run the Leverkusen Twitter account, too?
“Yes, I can exclusively announce he’ll play for Heracles Almelo!”

I think we can safely assume that Kai Havertz will not play for mid-table Eredivisie side Heracles Almelo, even if Bosz had managed them on a couple occasions in the past 15 years.
UPDATE: Heracles taking the easy social media win.
Welkom Kai

Will Havertz play for Chelsea or will he stay at Leverkusen? The former seems much more likely, but you never know...
With the transfer window set to run until October 5 but most leagues, including the Premier League and the Bundesliga, starting the new season in just about a month, we should know fairly soon the definitive answer to that question.
