Big news if true, from the wannabe German Transfer Oracle, Christian Falk, coming hot on the heels of Chelsea securing a fourth place finish in the Premier League and Champions League football for next season. (Everything’s better and easier with Champions League football, including player recruitment.)
After qualifying for Champions League: it can now go quickly with the deal of @ChelseaFC and @kaihavertz29. Leverkusen does not insist on participating of @kaihavertz29 in the Euro League. Now the negotations are getting hot

According to Falk, Chelsea’s negotiations for Kai Havertz “can now go quickly” not only because the season’s essentially over — FA Cup final next weekend, then the formality of the Champions League Round of 16 second leg carrying a 3-0 deficit the week after, are the only things that remain for the Blues — but because Bayer Leverkusen have apparently dropped their requirement of keeping Havertz for the rest of their own Europa League campaign. Bayer will finish out that tournament August 6 to August 21 (or until they’re eliminated, whichever comes first).
Previously, they had been “insisting” on this and all involved from our side and Havertz’s side were seemingly willing to play ball. But it would appear that something has changed, and now that hurdle has been knocked down.
It’s a free run to the proverbial finish line! Time to start pumping those arms and Usain Bolt this [SHIP].
If for nothing else, than for this troll-job from Bayer’s Spanish language Twitter.
