After 14 years with Chelsea, since the age of 7, Josh Grant has left for greener pastures and better opportunities.
The 21-year-old joined Bristol Rovers in League One as a free agent yesterday after his contract with Chelsea ended. This transfer had been in the works for some time, and now it has become official.

The England U20 international spent last season on loan at Plymouth Argyle in League Two, and helped them secure automatic promotion to League One, courtesy of a 3rd place finish. Grant also had a short loan at Yeovil Town the season before.
Primarily a centre back, Grant can also play right back and various midfield positions. He once captained Chelsea U19 to the 2018 UEFA Youth League final.
He was also offered a contract by Plymouth, but has instead chosen to play for Rovers. In any case, Chelsea will be due a compensation fee.
“Coming up through Chelsea, you’re privileged and you’re lucky, but when you hit the real world you think ‘it’s time to make a name for myself without that Chelsea tag now”
“I think this is the perfect place for me to start that.”

Best of luck to Josh in his new endeavor! We wish him all the success in life!
