It’s starting to appear that Pedro will most likely play in AS Roma colors next season, who are set to beat out competition from Juventus and Valencia, and most recently, Inter Milan as well, who saw the opportunity to reunite the serial winner with former Chelsea head coach Antonio Conte.

But despite Inter’s late show, it appears that Roma are actually quite close to concluding a 2-year deal for the player. According to Goal, discussions have really accelerated in the past few days and a resolution appears close. Roma have reportedly been in discussions with the player’s entourage since April and their efforts will likely be rewarded soon.

However, one potential complication is that Pedro’s Chelsea contract expires at the end of this month. While it was expected that he would agree to a short-term contract like Willian, to allow him to see out the delayed season with the club, that doesn’t appear to be the case necessarily.

According to Marca (via Sport Witness), Pedro doesn’t see any point of continuing the season with the Blues past June 30th. This could be a potential problem since we would be left with less depth on the wings, so maybe youngsters like Faustino Anjorin will need to step up.
