What time is it? TIMO TIME!
Reports continue to roll in of Chelsea wrapping up yet another swift transaction in the transfer market, with RB Leipzig goal-machine Timo Werner ready to make things officially official in the next few days and sign on the dotted line of a five-year, €10m per year deal with the Blues.
Chelsea have resolved to activate the 24-year-old’s €55m buyout clause — a reasonable fee even in this pandemic-hit market — and that may have already happened in the last few hours though it’s yet to be confirmed by either party.
Timo Werner is ready to sign his contract as new Chelsea player until June 2025 on next days - paperworks time. Liverpool have not sent any official bid to hijack the move.

Chelsea will pay €55M to RB Leipzig. Timo has already spoken directly with Frank Lampard. #CFC
Still, Fabrizio Romano’s reporting that all engines are go. Liverpool are nowhere to be found despite months-long links with the player, and while a last-minute gazump cannot be ruled out until all things are signed, sealed, and delivered, it’s certainly looking good for Chelsea at the minute. Did I say good? I meant great!
Romano’s also reporting that Werner has had his first direct chat with Frank Lampard, presumably about how excited we all are to see this happen.
Let’s go!

Timo Werner had made no secret of his desire to move to Anfield. But the PL leaders weren't prepared to meet his release clause. https://t.co/yhvVDoUzaA
