Like Chelsea, Juventus are hoping to engineer a squad overhaul this summer, and are focusing on the midfield in particular. Maurizio Sarri hasn’t been overly pleased with the likes of Aaron Ramsey (possibly coming back to the Premier League already), Emre Can (set to join BVB for good after loan), Adrien Rabiot, or Miralem Pjanić, even as they remain on track to win the Serie A title.
The rumor mill remains convinced that what Sarri really wants is another reunion with Jorginho. But despite all the stories, Chelsea remain unmoved. According to the latest report from Fabrizio Romano for Calciomercato, Chelsea are still not willing to swap Jorginho for Miralem Pjanić — he remains a favorite of Frank Lampard even in a crowded position.
Juventus are also having trouble swapping Pjanić for Barcelona midfielder Arthur, which means the Jorginho rumors will continue for a while yet. Maybe we can interest them in Ross Barkley instead? Sarri did call him a “complete player” once after all...
