Borussia Dortmund understandably aren’t too keen on letting Jadon Sancho leave anytime soon, and have made that quite apparent over the past few weeks and months. If nothing else, they will try and keep hold of him for one more season — and in the meantime, try to get him to sign a new contract in order to at least extract maximum transfer value once the pandemic (hopefully) subsides next year.
However, it appears that Sancho is having none of that. His heart is set on the Premier League, and will therefore reject any and all talks of a new contract at Dortmund. That’s according to a report from Goal, which adds that Sancho wants to return to England as soon as he possibly can.
Jadon Sancho looks set to snub any contract offers at Dortmund leaving hope for English clubs this summer. Still, it will be a costly operation with BVB unwilling to let him go lightly: https://t.co/NqzmLcM5wf #CFC #MUFC

While this might complicate things a bit for BVB, they are reportedly still not willing to lower their €110m asking price. Chelsea may be better positioned financially in the new market than most, but it’s still not entirely obvious whether we can pay that much or, even more importantly, whether we should pay that much.
The report adds that Chelsea are looking at Villarreal’s Samuel Chukwueze as a prime alternative — he was linked back in the winter already— while Crystal Palace’s Wilfried Zaha has fallen out of contention because of his £80m price tag. Though if his price tag is the only thing keeping us away, we need to improve our scouting first as well.
Either way, Chelsea will need to be smart in the upcoming window, which is set to be quite different from usual, with loans and swap-deals likely becoming much more commonplace.
