There is a large group of clubs reportedly chasing Achraf Hakimi’s signature this summer, once his loan contract at Borussia Dortmund is up.
BVB themselves want to retain the Real Madrid loanee’s services, just as they have had for the past two seasons, but they face stiff competition from the likes of Bayern Munich, Chelsea, Arsenal, Tottenham, PSG, and Juventus.
And that’s before we consider the parent club, who have the versatile and speedy attacking full back under contract for another two seasons after this one.
“In June I will have to make a decision and it will be a great step for my career. In theory my contract ends in June and from there I have to return to Madrid.
“I have not yet had contact with Madrid on this matter, but I imagine that soon we will have some conversation to find out what is best for me.”

While that makes it sound like Hakimi would want to stay in Dortmund, Real could yet decide to keep him ahead of the multitude of other options they have at full back, especially in these austere times coming up. If nothing else, they would surely look to maximize their profit on a homegrown academy product.
If Chelsea want in, we’re going to have our work cut out for us.
