Jorginho agent expects ‘important proposals’ for Chelsea midfielder

While the winter transfer window just ended and there are at least three more months left in the season, Jorginho’s agent, João Santos is already going to work, as all good agents should.

With the midfielder having another important season at Chelsea — and this time as more than just “the teacher’s pet” as he was seen under Maurizio Sarri — and expected to be a key player for Italy at Euro 2020 as well, the agent expects there to be plenty of interest the 28-year-old in the prime of his career (including, probably, from Sarri’s Juventus).

“His goal is the European Championship with the national team. There are many expectations around Mancini’s team. The European Championship is also a good showcase.

“Even personally, he is doing very well at Chelsea, and I am sure that some important proposals will come because in his role there are not many high-level players like him around.”

“Why not [Juventus]? I am sure that some important proposals will come, which we would obviously evaluate together with Chelsea.”

And by “evaluate together” he means “hold our feet to the fire”.

That said, Jorginho will have three more years left on his Chelsea contract, which gives the club plenty of leverage for any upcoming shenanigans.
