The winter transfer window has come and gone, so any hopes of new signings we may have now shift to the summer. One of those hopes undoubtedly will be Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund.
The 19-year-old is in the form of his life at the moment, with 9 goals and 7 assists in his last 10 Bundesliga matches. After some early season drama, he’s solidified his position as one of the team’s key players, and has already struck up a good partnership with January arrival Erling Braut Haaland.
But BVB sporting director Michael Zorc is under no delusions regarding young Sancho’s future, which almost certainly lies back in England sooner rather than later.
“[I can’t] reliably answer today [if Sancho will stay]. What I can say for sure is that he feels very comfortable with us. Otherwise he could not produce such performances week after week.”
“He is a phenomenon and is now producing top performances. And he rarely takes a break on the pitch, helping the team with their defensive work. He is hard-working and gets the greatest of respect from me.”
The competition for Sancho’s signature will be fierce, that’s for sure.
If Chelsea want in, we probably should move quickly and assertively. Doing so now could see us steal in before others.
“The fact is no club has contacted us so far about Jadon.”

Could Jadon Sancho be the proper heir to Eden Hazard at Stamford Bridge?
