This one snuck in just before the deadline, and technically it’s not yet official as Fulham were a flurry of activity in the final moments of the transfer window and they’re still processing through all the announcements they want to make for social media impact.
But, in any case, as expected, they reportedly finalized the season-long loan of Ruben Loftus-Cheek, which will see the 24-year-old move a couple miles down the road from Stamford Bridge to try to get back to the levels he was showing before his unfortunate and major Achilles rupture now nearly 18 months ago.

Loftus-Cheek joins Ross Barkley as somewhat unexpected names in the Chelsea Loan Army this season, but we’ve had an excess of numbers at the position (if not quite balanced quality) and this does solve that issue, in theory.
Now, we just need N’Golo Kanté to stay healthy, and Billy Gilmour to come back soon and even stronger than his impressive, if brief, showings promised last season.
