Younger option preferred

It didn’t take long for transfer speculation to begin anew after the end of the summer transfer window a couple weeks ago, and one of the first names to feature was, surprisingly, N’Golo Kanté.

Reports from France claimed that Kanté is unhappy with Frank Lampard and wants to join Real Madrid, although those were quickly refuted by sources close to Chelsea. Earlier this week, reports in Italy speculated that Inter Milan would once again try to raise the funds necessary to make a move in the next transfer window as well. Neither of those two angles are new in the Kanté rumor mill, as unlikely as him leaving for either team may be.

In fact, according to Marca, Real’s next signing could instead by the extremely talented Eduardo Camavinga of Rennes, who is seen as the heir to Kanté in the French national team and could deputize for the all-important Casemiro in Madrid. They are unlikely to be the only suitors for the 17-year-old, but he would certainly fit their recent m.o. of paying top dollar for future superstar talent.
