Lazio agree personal terms with Olivier Giroud — report

The man everyone wants but no one can get

I know what you want, more sweet hot Olivier Giroud news. The third striker that everyone wants but is also somehow impossible to get rid of.

It’s not for want of trying, we thought he’d be off to Inter Milan along with Victor Moses but things took a sharp, weird turn there. Since then it’s become a bit of a madhouse. Lazio, Newcastle, even Spurs have all been rumored, then not rumored, then rumored again.

But, it would appear that Lazio are making some progress, with reports in Italy claiming that they’ve reached personal terms with the 33-year-old striker in desperate search of minutes for the second half of the season.

This part wasn’t ever likely in doubt because of that. But Lazio will likely have a tougher time getting to finalize the agreement with Chelsea, mostly because that part of the deal reportedly depends on Chelsea signing a replacement (i.e. short-term goalscoring help that Lampard’s been requesting). And that part isn’t making any forward progress at the moment.

We have just about 24 hours to try to get this done.
