The Season of Sarri has brought us many things, some good, some bad, some rather amusing. I’m not sure where a certain Alfredo Pedulla falls, but the Oracle of Sarri (and Higuain and Jorginho) has been a key part of the Chelsea narrative for the past couple years with his hot days and even hotter transfer rumors.
Alas, if you were hoping that Dries Mertens would thaw the dead, cold, non-beating heart of January’s transfer window, he’s got some bad news for you.
#Mertens-#Chelsea: nessuna possibilità. A gennaio resta a #Napoli, se non rinnova occhio all’#Inter a 0

“No chance”, says Pedulla.
And it’s not “no chance” as in business, but “no chance” as in personal choice. That’s the added detail from CalcioNapoli24’s Claudio Russo, who also tends to have his ear close to the ground down there in Naples.
In fact, it appears that Mertens is more likely to extend with Napoli after all. We were probably just being used to prod that extension along.
So it goes.
