Inter Milan are building a title-contending team for new manager Antonio Conte, with the latest big piece of that puzzle landing last night and ready to be announced soon. But as expensive and difference-making as Romelu Lukaku may turn out, we know from Conte’s two years at Chelsea that his system is predicated to a large degree on competent wing play from the wing-backs as well
So in that regard, links between Inter and Victor Moses earlier this summer were entirely unsurprising. Now, according to sources in Nigeria, Conte has “renewed” his interest and the chase for the 28-year-old wing-back could “intensity”.
After languishing on the Chelsea bench, or worse, for the first half of last season, Moses went back on the loan path, eventually joining Fenebahce on an 18-month loan deal in January. The report claims however that Fener head coach Ersun Yanal has been left less than pleased with Moses’s contributions so far. So with 12 months still left on that loan deal as well as his Chelsea contract, Inter swooping in could be very beneficial indeed, for both the player himself and Chelsea’s bottom line.
