Wigan Athletic helped turn Reece James from Academy standout to a player with serious first-team aspirations at Chelsea (ankle surgery aside), and now they might be looking to strike gold again.
According to Sky Sports, Wigan are “in talks” with Chelsea over a loan deal for Dujon Sterling, another promising full back from the Academy.

Fellow ‘99er Sterling, about a month and a half James’s senior, has been at Chelsea since an early age and established himself as a key player for Coventry City last season in his first senior loan. Wigan would represent a step up on the League One (third division) outfit, and should thus be a good challenge for the 19-year-old.
Sterling spent a bit of time training with the first-team this summer, but only for the first part of training camp in Dublin. He does have three years left on his Chelsea contract, so a loan makes perfect sense at this time.
