Huddersfield Town ‘keen to sign’ Trevoh Chalobah from Chelsea — report

Another loan or something more permanent?

Chelsea Academy graduate Trevoh Chalobah was named to the bench in the 2018 FA Cup Final, but went out on loan last season, and it’s not looking like he’ll play a part of the first-team this season either. While he did join training camp initially, he was one of the eight rotated out after the first game in Ireland, and has been training with the loan group since.

Apparently “keen to sign” the 20-year-old midfielder/defender are Huddersfield Town. According to Goal, the Terriers would prefer to make this a transfer, but Chelsea would obviously prefer a loan. There’s no word on what Chalobah would prefer. He did impress at a terrible Ipswich Town side last year despite their relegation from the Championship.

Huddersfield are back in the Championship after one of the worst Premier League campaigns in history and could certainly use some quality reinforcements to make sure they at least stick the landing and don’t fall through the bottom again.
