Petr Cech’s return to Chelsea in a technical director sort of role is hardly a secret at this point, but earlier today (Thursday), the Chelsea legend was spotted at Stamford Bridge holding up a shirt and getting his picture taken alongside director Marina Granovskaia.

Petr Cech will be officially confirmed tomorrow morning
Another announcement will be next week now #CFC
Reports from the Telegraph and Sky Sports have also confirmed this.
While Cech’s position might not be exactly the same as Michael Emenalo’s, he is expected to fill some of the gaps left by the former technical director’s departure to AS Monaco back in 2017. Granovskaia had taken over most of those functions in the two years since, in addition to all her usual responsibilities in overseeing and negotiating transfers and contracts.
With Cech’s return, Chelsea are finally bringing in someone to share the workload. His lack of experience beyond his time as a player does raise some issues, but he is not the first player (or person) to take such a leap. Plus, on the job experience always helps with adaptation.
It’s happening!
