After Maurizio Sarri's departure was made official earlier today, his assistant, Gianfranco Zola, is set to follow suit and leave Chelsea, too.
According to Sky Sports, Zola, who re-joined Chelsea last summer on a one-year contract, will be leaving when the contract expires.

Frank Lampard, who looks to be the next Chelsea manager, is expected to bring along Jody Morris as his assistant.
Apparently Chelsea had offered an ambassador role to entice Zola to stay but he has his heart set on coaching roles rather non-coaching ones and has thus made the decision to leave.
Even if this is not a surprise, it never not hurts watching club legends leave.
Good luck on your future endeavours, Mr. Magic Box. Until next time!
