Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Adrien Rabiot is basically the greatest football player of all time, as evidenced by the list of teams supposedly locked on him as a summer transfer window target.
According to French newspaper L’Equipe (via Foot Mercato), these teams include — deep breath — Barcelona, Real Madrid, Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester City, Juventus, Bayern Munich, with Real, Chelsea, and Bayern the most “serious” of the lot.

The one glaring omission from the list are PSG themselves. Rabiot hasn’t featured at all since December thanks to a complete breakdown in the relationship between the player and the club.
With his contract expiring, Rabiot would be a great signing, certainly at least in terms of the finances involved, for whoever picks him up. The personal issues are a bit of a red flag, but he has undeniable quality and versatility that could be helpful to just about any club and probably any manager.
But if there is such strong competition for him, Chelsea would face an uphill battle to convince him to join — assuming the transfer ban is suspended. Midfield is also one place where Chelsea are well stocked at the moment, with Kante, Loftus-Cheek, Jorginho all set to play large roles for many years to come, and lots of talent out on loan as well.
